Jaimini Scholar Program 2017

When we taught the Upadeśa Sūtra of Maharṣi Jaimini in a course (Jaimini Scholar Program 2007-11), there were just a few students from India. Of these three scholars formed a group and taught the course in the Himalayas to a dozen students who will be graduating as scholars in 2017. Hopefully some of them will take the certification viva-voce and qualify as Jaimini Scholars and an even fewer number will qualify as JSP teachers. Certification is done by an independent board of scholar-teachers headed by Steve Hubball.

A.B.Vajpayee: The Swearing-in Chart (1998)

Please note we have retired from political astrology. These old articles published in popular astrology magazines; their accuracy speaks for themselves. Narayana Dasa has been my strongest tool for timing events over the years – nothing can match the power of Narayana in showing the truth.
The Vajpayee Government was sworn in on Thursday March 19, 1998 at 9:32’: 33’’ AM IST at New Delhi . The Muhurat for the swearing in seems to have been chosen very well, as it is a quadrant from both the Lagna and Dasamsa Lagna.

George Harrison

“This Mysterious Beatle” George Harold Harrison needs no introduction. The date and time of his birth as recorded are [1]25 February, 1943; 00:05’ BST; (-1Hr GMT); Liverpool, U.K. Later this was ‘corrected’ by an astrologer. He wrote, “For instance, I only learned recently after all these years that the date and time of my own birth have always been off by one calendar day and about a half hour on the clock,” reported in Billboard magazine, 12/1992.” On a prior occasion, he had given out February 25, 1943, 00:05 AM GDT, (23 minutes later).

Is Astrology a science?

By Karthik Venkataramani
Most scientists would reply in the negative.
Especially if they are from India, where we have been systematically trained over decades to discount anything Indian. But, opinion espoused by scientists shouldn’t discourage us from pursuing facts. Had Einstein postulated that time-space continuum is a dimension in the 19th century, the chances are he might have been ridiculed. The most common objections to astrology are:

One, astrology implies that planetary movements have impact on individual lives. Modern research shows that planets cannot influence individuals.

Two, astrology claims to predict the future events.
