Navāṃśa- Dharmāṃśa

What is the connection between your wife and your brothers? How does he have four brothers? So because of Parivartana yoga. So, Maṅgala and Budha are having Parivartana and we are seeing Budha instead of Maṅgala. Good. Sure? Who among you all had Parivartana of Sūrya and Ketu? Then why we saw Ketu and did not see Sūrya? Then no one saw one instead of the other? So, why now you are seeing another instead of the one?
Why are you seeing number of brothers from here? Are we seeing number of brothers from here? Did we count number of wives? So, where did we get the number? We took the lord. We took the dispositor. Say “that” to me. I wanted to hear “that”. I did not want to hear that this is happening because of Parivartana. Rohini Ji! I wanted to hear that you took the lord to check the number of brothers. Parivartana cannot happen between kāraka (significators). Budha cannot become Bhrātṛkāraka if he is in Parivartana with Maṅgala. Parivartana is of lordship, Parivartana is not of kāraka. The Parivartana of kāraka has totally different meaning. Am I being clear on this? Maṅgala is in house of Budha, and Budha is in house of Maṅgala, this is exchange of houses, not of kārakatva (significatorship).
When does kāraka-Parivartana take place? Suppose, Maṅgala is in 10th from Lagna and Budha is in 3rd from Lagna. Then, kāraka parivartana will take place. You can say that because Maṅgala is significator of 3rd house, is going and sitting in 10th house whose kāraka is Budha while Budha is sitting in 3rd house whose kāraka is Maṅgala.
This case has exchange of Rāśi/Bhāva. Am I fine and clear? We are not confusing. How does he behave with brothers? Maṅgala is in 9th, whichever kāraka is in Trikoṇa, will always flourish. The kāraka which is in Kendra, will have highest impact upon you in your life. The kāraka which is in Duḥsthāna, you have to bear pain from that kārakatva. This is a very simple rule of Navāṃśa. You are receiving pain from this kārakatva in Duḥsthāna, because you don’t like it/him/her. The problem is in you not in them. The kāraka which is in Duḥsthāna, will definitely be a source of problem and pain. You take it from me.
For example, Śani is considered to be good in 6th house in Rāśi. But in Navāṃśa, Śani is bad in 6th house, you take it from me! Because the kārakatva of Śani will be a source of pain and problem. You will have trouble from subordinates. Because Śani is the kāraka of subordinates. All this to be read from Navāṃśa Lagna. This is not from Kārakāṃśa.
You take the dispositor of Kāraka and you will get the number. Alright?
A case: Śukra is in Makara Navāṃśa and the dispositor Śani is in Navāṃśa Lagna. Is it good or bad? It is good because the trines of Navāṃśa are considered good. Whichever Graha that is sitting in Trikoṇa of Navāṃśa Lagna, will be considered as a good one. Because it is Śani, the dispositor of Śukra, and is sitting in Navāṃśa Lagna, it is good for marriage. Śukra signifies marriage. How many planets are aspecting Śani? None. So, only one husband. (take Rāśi dṛṣti).
That person has dispositor of Maṅgala, i.e., Budha, receiving Rāśi dṛṣṭi from three Graha, i.e., Sūrya, Rāhu and Ketu. So, he has got three brothers. It is dangerous rule, you can know many things. We are talking about brothers not about sisters. Budha’s dṛṣti may not have been very strong that’s why he may be treating a friend as a brother. This is the rule that shows how many of these people have direct impact on your life. Sometimes in life, what happens is that somebody has brothers but they are not impacting his life at all. This is about what is in the Bhāgya. The person may be completely gone away from them and has no impact on native’s life. The exact number of brothers we get in Rāśi’s Drekkāṇa. But what is their impact on my life, is seen from Navāṃśa.
Ultimately, Navāṃśa boils down to Bhāgya, the impact it is having on my Bhāgya. Like I said “Guru”: Guru has the power to alter my Bhāgya because by giving me a mantra I’m going on a different life, my life is completely changed. I’m changing from one mode to another mode, I’m switching a mode in between. From taking a path of the Sun to take a path of Venus, is very difficult. It is very-very difficult. A person has to change internally. From being like Agni tattva, the person has to become like Jala tattva, is actually very difficult. Like it is very difficult for me. But it is good for me.
What is Bhāgya? The life’s path can change because of Navāṃśa. It will have huge impact on my life. This is actually what we are seeing in Navāṃśa. The wife is having a strong impact on native’s life, that’s why we check Śukra in Navāṃśa. Whether Guru is impacting native’s life or not. Whether mother and father are having any impact on life or not. In the case of abandoned or orphan children, mother and father are not having any impact on life. This is the kāraka-rule of Jaimini and it is a very important rule. Using this rule we can correct Navāṃśa. Sūrya will have no impact on life if one’s father has gone away or died. Sūrya cannot have any impact in the Navāṃśa. If mother has gone away or died, there is no impact of Moon in Navāṃśa. In these cases, we check the dispositor or sun and dispositor of Moon. Sūrya may be strong as a planet giving him political knowledge. But we are checking the dispositor for “people”. Dispositor of Venus to check impact of spouse (husband or wife). Dispositor of Maṅgala to check impact of brother. Dispositor of Sūrya to check impact of father. Suppose if a person has Sūrya in Makara Navāṃśa, and if his Śani is badly placed, what will you say about his father? His father will come and be like Śani in his life. The father will be good or bad, depends on the placement and situation of Śani.
Śani can also give Rāja-yoga. Do you know? When Śani gives Rāja-yoga, he takes the form of Yama. Do you know the strength of Yama? If a king has been dethroned by being cheated, or defeated or otherwise, it is the strength of Yama to give this Throne back to this King. Yama can give back your Rāja-yoga, gives back your dharma, gives back your dhana (wealth), gives you children, and you will pass away after grandchildren have been born. The things you have been wanting in life, Śani can give provided Śani took that form. That’s why “Vareṇa-kṣetra”. The madhyam of Meṣa Rāśi, is very auspicious for Śani. This madhyam (middle) of Meṣa Rāśi is Bharanī Nakṣatra. The devatā of Bharanī Nakṣatra is Yama. It is Dharmarāja. Worship with Dharmarāja mantra.
Student Question: We are taking the dispositor. How can we ignore the planet conjoining that kāraka?
Sanjay Rath’s response: Of course we cannot ignore the planet conjoining the kāraka. But we are taking the dispositor for number. How many Graha are there?
Student response: Moon and Jupiter are conjoining with Budha and Sūrya, Rāhu and Ketu have Rāśi dṛṣṭi on Budha.
Sanjay Rath’s response: So, he can have up to five brothers. How many of these will be born from the same mother and how many will come as friends and relatives and become like brothers; that you have to see from Drekkāṇa and Rāśi chart. But there will be five people who will be like brothers for him in his life. This is very important.
So, what we talked about is the house and kāraka. If there is a relation between house and kāraka, then you get wife or husband from there (example Śukra). How the Graha will be for him or her we take from kāraka but the number of such people is taken from the dispositor. In Navāṃśa, whenever we apply the kāraka rule, we only see Kendra i.e., 1, 4, 7, or 10; you have to choose one of these Kendra.
Here are talking about Guru. The house of Guru is 9th house. 9th house is in the Trikoṇa of Lagna. So, whichever Graha is having yoga with Navāṃśa Lagna, will become Guru. We are not seeing mokṣa from 12th house from Ketu. We are seeing mukti (mokṣa) from 12th house of Ātmakāraka. We will take 7th house in 7th house itself. We will take 3rd house in 7th house and take 11th house in 7th house. In Navāṃśa, the Kendra are very important. The controlling houses are the Kendra, because they are having direct impact upon your life. If a Graha cannot influence the Kendra of Navāṃśa, it cannot impact your life.
Student Question: so, for occupation we see 10th house and Mercury?
Guruji response: Yes, for occupation, we check and see the 10th house and Mercury. For service (job), we see 10th house and Saturn. Now you know why we see 10th house of Navāṃśa for wealth. So, for wealth, we see 10th house and Bṛhaspati. When Jaimini says “planets conjoining Ketu”, he is talking of Guru. You are right on the point. If we see 4th house, we are not talking about Guru, we are talking about Gati. How will our Gati be? Will it be easy or difficult? Suppose, your Guru gives you a mantra, whether you are doing that mantra or not, and how well you are doing that mantra, we will check this from 4th house. For father, we see Lagna, because 9th house is in Trikoṇa of Lagna. For children, we check Lagna. So, we are very clear, we are checking Kendra. Why are we doing this? Mathematically, the calculation of Navāṃśa, is from the Rāśi itself if it is a Chara Rāśi. In case of Sthira Rāśi, it is from 9th Rāśi from that Rāśi. For Dvisvabhāva (dual) Rāśi, Navāṃśa counting starts from 5th from that sign. Basically, 1, 5 and 9 are being put in one sign. For 9 degrees of Meṣa, the Navāṃśa is in Mithuna Navāṃśa, 9 degrees of Simha (Leo) is also in Mithuna Navāṃśa, 9 degrees of Dhanu (Sagittarius) is also in Mithuna Navāṃśa. See: Lagna, Putra Bhāva and dharma Bhāva have gone in Mithuna Navāṃśa.
Scribe’s note: to understand this, know about Bhāva cusp. Lagna is at 9 degrees, then all the Bhāva will have Bhāva cusp at 9th degree. Hence, it explains the concept derived by Guru Sanjay Rath in above arguments.
Pandit Sanjay Rath: So, the Lagna, Putra Bhāva and bhagya Bhāva of Rāśi kuṇḍalī, have gone in Mithuna Navāṃśa. Let’s see this for 7th house Tula (Libra). 9th degree of Tula will come in Dhanu Navāṃśa. 11th house, 9th degree of Kumbha, will come in Dhanu Navāṃśa. 3rd house, 9th degree of Mithuna will also come in Dhanu Navāṃśa.
Scribe’s note: To understand this, we should divide 30 degrees of a Rāśi in nava + aṃśa; 9 parts. Nava is a Sanskrit word meaning nine. Aṃśa is also a Sanskrit word meaning parts.
So, Navāṃśa divides Rāśi into 9 parts. 3°20′ × 9 = 30 degreess. So, one Navāṃśa is measured as 3 degrees and 20 minutes. So, third Navāṃśa would start after 6 deg 40 min. i.e., from 6°40′01″ to 10°. 9th degree falls into third Navāṃśa. First Navāṃśa of Tula Rāśi is Tula Navāṃśa since Tula is a Chara Rāśi. So, the second Navāṃśa is Vṛścika and third Navāṃśa is Dhanu. Chara Rāśi are Meṣa, Karkaṭa, Tula and Makara. Sthira Rāśi are Vṛṣabha, Simha, Vṛścika, and Kumbha. The rest of the four signs are Dvisvabhāva Rāśi. Similarly, Kumbha is a sthira rashi, so the Navāṃśa counting will start from 9th from Kumbha, i.e., from Tula. Hence, the third Navāṃśa of Kumbha is Dhanu. Similarly, we check for Mithuna. Mithuna is dual sign, hence, the Navāṃśa counting for Mithuna will start from 5th from Mithuna, i.e., from Tula.
Hence, Navāṃśa counting for all rashi will start from the chara rashi that is in the Trikoṇa of that rashi. The Navāṃśa counting for Meṣa, simha and Dhanu will start from Meṣa. The Navāṃśa counting for Vṛṣabha, Kanyā and Makara will start from Makara. The Navāṃśa counting for Mithuna, Tula and Kumbha will start from Tula. And the Navāṃśa counting for Karkaṭa, Vṛścika and Mīna (Pisces) will start from Karkaṭa. So, the Navāṃśa counting for every rashi will start from the chara rashi in Trikoṇa to that rashi. This is happening because the four chara rashi are called Yuga rashi. Yuga are four: Satya, Treta, Dvapara and Kali-yuga. So, Meśa represents Satya-yuga. Karkaṭa represents Tretā-yuga. Tula represents Dvāpara-yuga. Makara represents Kali-yuga.
Pandit Sanjay Rath: the controlling house of 7th house, 3rd house and 11th house has come into the 7th house of Navāṃśa. So, 1st house of Navāṃśa controls the 1st house, 5th house and 9th house of Rāśi chart. The 10th house of Navāṃśa controls the 2nd house, 6th house and 10th house of Rāśi chart. The 4th house of Navāṃśa controls the 4th house, 8th house and 12th house of Rāśi chart. Thus in the 4th house of Navāṃśa we can look for possible diseases in the native. For health, 4th house of Navāṃśa is very important. A śubha Graha there protects your body and an aśubha Graha sitting in 4th house of Navāṃśa can be detrimental to your health.
This śubha and aśubha in the matter of 4th house of Navāṃśa refers to śānta (peaceful) or aśānta (not peaceful) Graha. For example, a retro Graha is totally aśānta. It can be very strong, but is aśānta, and hence can be detrimental to health. That’s why śānti-pāṭha and śānti-mantra are done to pacify this house of Navāṃśa. The more you do these, the better will be your health.
The kāraka of 4th house is Chandra and hence signifies shanti (peace). Sukha depends a lot on health. Without good health, even if you have much health, you can’t be at peace and bliss. The reverse is also true, if you stay sad and depressed, you will have bad health soon enough. That’s why astrologers often face health problems, because they keep looking at charts and the problems with them and feel the problems of others. That’s why if you want to do Jyotiṣa, be detached. But here comes the dilemma, if you are not detached then your health will go down. But if you stay completely detached, you won’t have any insight from the chart.
Coming back to topic. 7th house of Navāṃśa is also for Mithuna Bhāva, 7th house of Navāṃśa is also for Labha (gains), 7th house of Navāṃśa is also for friends and spouse. Likewise, as homework, study twelve kāraka and twelve houses, from Navāṃśa. Do this home exercise like we did till now in the class. Also find, do I have land in my fortune. Would I live in small hut or a big bungalow? Like you saw just now in the class that the wife has strong Venus and her spouse also has strong Venus. We found out in few seconds. Likewise, check which Graha is giving me a home. Can I worship and appease that Graha to get a nice home and live peacefully in my home? It is very important. If a Graha is giving me a wife, I can have very good marriage by worshiping that Graha. Navāṃśa is dharmāṃśa. What should I do in dharma so that I can have a good life? It also gives a clue to the remedy. Check Mars for properties.
Pandit Sanjay Rath: Like we saw Śukra was conjoined three planets. But how any of these had a connection with the 7th house? Only Śukra. So, only Śukra is talking about husband and marriage. Similarly, if Maṅgala is conjoined many planets, then should see how many of these are having connection with the 7th house. That will be the planets talking about brothers. If none of these have any connection with 7th house, they will not do it. If you have a planet in the 3rd house or influencing 3rd house of Navāṃśa by Rāśi dṛṣṭi, then until it influences 7th house of Navāṃśa, it cannot be directly influencing “your” life. So, planets that are not having any link with the Kendra of Navāṃśa, are not going to influence your personal life. Kāraka of relatives is Mercury. What is the kāraka of pets? It is Śani (Saturn). The best thing about a pet is that they remove your aloneness and remove your sadness. So, the kāraka of pets is Śani. A pet is really a good remedy for Śani. Have you ever tried to study the type of pet a native will keep? I had a case when a client tested me and asked me “can you see what kind of pet do I have”? I said: “I am not able to say anything about it, please tell me”. He said: “I have a python”. In America, in California, a person had three crocodiles as pets. One of the crocodiles ate one of the brothers of the native. That is how he was caught by the police. So, you also have to check whether the pet will be good or bad towards the native. What will be the disposition of pet towards the native? You can check this by checking the planets conjoining the dispositor of Śani in Navāṃśa. An animal may be roaming in the jungle it cannot become your pet unless it has some kind of connection with the 10th house of Navāṃśa, because it is Kendra of 6th house.
Done on kāraka. Open to questions: –
Pandit Sanjay Rath: Oho! Śani daśā has just started for your son? Please tell the horoscope, these people are experts they can do it in a minute. Let me tell you the greatness of Jaimini. The focus of Jaimini on Navāṃśa is total. No other author has such a focus on Navāṃśa like Jaimini. Nobody can match him. And he gives sūtra for everything. He doesn’t believe in giving general rules. He believes in giving principles. But the student did not have the birth details of her son. So, Pandit Sanjay Rath said, “next time, please get the chart”. See, Śani delayed it.
Pandit Sanjay Rath: questions from last class. A random chart: Ketu is the dispositor of Maṅgala. It is the co-lord of the third house from the Ārūḍha Lagna. And it is conjoined Sūrya, telling us that is used for assassination, was that of Sūrya, a gun.
The student said: I was trying to map this with numerology.
Pandit Sanjay Rath said: please tell me how you do it.
Student said: I add the date numbers with the number of month and that with the number of year.
Pandit Sanjay Rath said: Do you use Gregorian calendar. Do you know there were two dates in the month of October some 300 years back, 10 days were omitted between these days. The date after 17 October, was 27 October. Do you know this? The calendar that you using for numerology has 10 days omitted. The method that you are using is correct but the calendar you are using is wrong for numerology. If you want to use numerology, then calculate the number of days that have passed from the start of Kali-yuga. Divide this by 7. The remainder is the day number. If you use numerology on Jesus Christ’s chart, then you can’t use this calendar because this calendar wasn’t even present. Gautama Buddha, Chaitanya Mahāprabhu, everyone’s chart will be wrong if you use Gregorian calendar for calculations. This calendar wasn’t even born. Do you know how this calendar is made? The next day after 17 October was 27 October. This was ordered by the Pope. Pop ordered the omission of days between 17 and 27 October. Kabbalah system was present before the Gregorian calendar. Julian calendar was to be used for the Kabbalah system. Gregorian was never appropriate for Kabbalah system. Kabbalah system was a beautiful system, but if you use Gregorian calendar for Kabbalah, then it is ruined. Julian date is a totally different date. But Julian calendar also has a mistake inside it. Our Vedic system is best. Calculate the number of days that have passed from Kali-yuga and divide the number by 7. The remainder is the day number. So, it’s good that we talked a bit about numerology. It is not that I don’t know numerology. I have gone in depth of it, learned everything, and then I have come far along. For example, Raghunath Rao wrote me a letter that he wants to read KP Astrology. I used to stop people, but now I say, yes please read it. I even told him four books of KP Astrology. Keep doing it, “sub-lord, sub-sub-lord, sub-sub-sub-lord”. “Do it for two, three years, then we will talk”. (Pandit Sanjay Rath is being sarcastic here).
The number of Mars is nine. They say nine is the number of man and nine is the number of God. But that is wrong. In Vedic numerology, seven is the number of God. That’s why we have sapta (seven) loka, sapta tala. Ādi Śaṅkara has given exact 700 verses. Saptaśatī is there, describing 700 ślokas of Caṇḍī-pāṭha. Seven number is so important. Octave is the first repetition of sapta. Agni courses in seven talas. That’s why there are seven days in a week. Because agni goes in this order. Agni is life. Once Agni is gone from the body, you are dead. Let’s do numerology in next class. Numbers of the planets and how to find the lucky number, etc.
What is a calendar? In western system, the calendar starts from the birth of Jesus Christ. Gregorian calendar starts from birth of Jesus Christ. In Sanskrit, it is called Kṛstābda. It counts the number of days since Christ was born. But unfortunately, evidence is being found, that this calendar starts on a wrong date. Actually, Christ was born 25BC. So, was Christ born 25 years before Christ was born? What rubbish! So, which Christ are you talking about? And which Christ are you following? Normally, the calendars were based on the great personages whom you wish to follow. For example, the calendar that starts from the birth of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, is called Gauranga. His name was Gauranga. One calendar is Śakābda, it was when Chandragupta Vikramāditya sat on the throne. Varāhamihira was his astrologer. Śakābda calendar was introduced by Varāhamihira. Śakābda was not there before Varāhamihira. Śakābda is followed in India these days. This Śakābda calendar, is not from Ṛṣis. I am very clear on that. Everyone in India is following Śakābda. The Śakābda followed in north India and the Śakābda followed in South India are approximately off by 80 years. This is the calendar system that is going on.
Please understand the concept. Leaving all the individual ego behind, there should be a non-individualistic approach towards this. Ṛṣis have recommended that one should start the count from the starting day of Kali-yuga. Ṛṣis have suggested that we should not calculate time with reference to a person. To that extent, even Varāhamihira has made a big blunder. Varāhamihira was considered to be such a great astrologer. Since he made a new calendar, people today have forgotten how many days have passed since start of Kali-yuga. Varāhamihira was the first one who obstructed the correct calculation of the Kali-yuga. And because of him, people have forgotten. If he hadn’t done that, people would have kept adding day by day, year by year and would have preserved the Kali-yuga calendar. Or the Kali calendar. This is the mistake that Varāhamihira made. So, the correct way to calculate a calendar is to follow the Ṛṣis by doing it on the basis of the Kali-yuga not by some king or queen or Gauranga. We should go by purely astronomical factors. Kali-yuga started on a Pratipadā, Kṛṣṇa passed away on a Tṛtīyā. So it cannot be on the same day. So, people say that Kṛṣṇa passed away and Kali-yuga started at exactly the same moment. But it is not so. The going away of Śrī Kṛṣṇa and coming of Kali-yuga was a simultaneous process. But Kali-yuga started on Pratipadā and Śrī Kṛṣṇa passed away on Tṛtīyā. Kṛṣṇa passed away right at the time when Moon was in kanya. This is my research. A very good source for these kind of calculations is B V Raman’s book, Hindu Astrology. B V Raman has revealed the traditional method to calculate the amount of time that has passed since start of Kali-yuga. It is pretty simple method. He has revealed it. That method is the correct method for numerology. Don’t follow any other method. That can help us find out Vāra, Tithi etc everything. It is a beautiful system. So, we have cleared the topic of calendars and which calendar to follow.
Now, Numbers and Planets:
Guruji Sanjay Rath: First number, number 1, is always assigned to the Sūrya. Remember one thing. The decimal system was devised by India and not by foreigners. Our first record of the decimal system was by Āryabhaṭa. We can’t say that he devised it. It is recorded that he was first. But it can’t be said that he devised it. The decimal system had come down from Ṛṣis. He was the first one to open the secrets. The decimal system was very well known to the Ṛṣis, and it is called the “Navagraha System”. Nava means nine. The word Graha in Sanskrit has a numerical value of 9. The numerical value of the Sanskrit word “tattva” is 5. Some Sanskrit words have numerical value. The word Muni has a numerical value of 7. Number 7 has power of Muni. The numerical value of Sanskrit word “Brahman”, is 3 (Jupiter). Zero was given great importance, was called Śūnya. There is a whole book written by Achyutananda Das, whose Parampara I belong to, called Śūnya Saṃhitā. The whole thing is about zero. The one who understands zero completely, will get Mukti. Nine numbers are for nine Grahas and are nine types of bondages (Grahaṇa). Lagna is Śūnya. There is no Grahaṇa on Lagna, no bondage on Lagna. Lagna is pure dhi. Pañcama Bhāva (5th house) is also free from bondages and is pure chitta. Dhi is in Lagna, chitta is in Putra Bhāva (5th Bhāva). Nine planets and Lagna are like ten numbers, that keep on revolving. Think of it like slot machine, Lagna is shunya and moves the fastest, while other nine Graha, all of them are moving in the wheel. That wheel is moving but you can’t see it, and one by one bondage is done by these planets. Like in a slot machine, you can see only one number, but there is a wheel in that slot machine, that is the cause of change in number in display. Likewise, you are being bonded by a number. I am trying to explain to you how these Graha do Grahaṇa (bondage). Keep reading my blogs. They form the basics to these classes. The number means that when that number activates, Sūrya will grab you. Like you told me a date. When you think about that number, the Graha pertaining to that number will start influencing you. Śūnya is always Lagna, and all numerology systems agree on this. One is considered Sūrya in all the numerology systems. The number, 2, is considered Moon in all systems. Why? Because they are clearly visible in the sky, so, they are the priorities. I have started number counting from zero and not from one. The number, 3, is Jupiter, who teaches us good things. The number, 4, is Rāhu, who teaches bad things. The number, 5, is Budha, is “me” who is learning good and bad things. The numbers 3, 4, 5, are the Bāla Avasthā, childhood when my life was about my teachers, my naughty friends and me. These three numbers dominate the life of a school going child. After that came the adulthood, the number 6, represented by Śukra. The spouse comes at this stage and become the priority. Ketu represents number 7. Ketu represents “kulasya Unnati”, the advancement of family, the progress of family. Then comes the number 8, Śani, duḥkha, pain, sadness and aloneness. At last, number 9 comes, represented by Maṅgala. This signifies death, death is signified by Maṅgala. At this stage, you are alone. When you die, you are alone, nobody goes with you. That is why number nine is the last number. This was your first lesson in Vedic Numerology. The power of nine is that you can add whichever number to nine, that number will dissolve in nine. Example, 9 + 7 = 16. 1 + 6 = 7. So, 9 has dissolved 7. That’s how nine represents Maṅgala, representing death. So, the basic lesson is that we have to view numbers with the personal perspective, with zero, 0, in the beginning. Had anybody ever told you this?
