| Shubhapati Status | Mindset & Impact |
1. Exalted |
Noble thoughts, moving in a good direction, highly creative with a lot of ideas, and driven by a clear, higher purpose. |
2. Moolatrikona |
Gives a strong, positive drive and desire to take up work, a career, or a job in the significations of that planet. |
3. Svakshetra |
Strong sense of identity; the person completely aligns and identifies with the natural qualities and talents of that graha. |
4. Debilitated / Afflicted / Badly Placed |

- Exalted Śubhapati:

In Śrī Rāma’s chart, Chandra is in Karka so we take the exaltation Lord Śukra as a Śubhapati.
Śukra is exalted in Mīna.
Śrī Rāma is known for his very high ideals, including his Eka-patnī-vrata—one life, one wife. His wife, Mā Sītā, also did everything for him, including accompanying him to the forest for fourteen years of Vanavāsa, serving him throughout that period. He fought a war for her, and later she made a great sacrifice, spending the rest of her life in the forest in order to support Śrī Rāma in fulfilling his Dharma as a king.
2. Śubhapati in Svakṣetra:

In Pandit Sanjay Rath’s Chart, Chandra is in Kumbha. Śubhapati Sa is in Makara in own sign giving a serious, philosophical, traditional mind dwelling in the knowledge of Vedas and Jyotish.
- Afflicted Śubhapati

In Adolf Hitler’s chart, Chandra is in Dhanu. Śubhapati Guru is also in Dhanu but in MKS in 3H of fighting wars also afflicted by Ke. This has a very negative influence on his mind.
- If you count from Candra to Śubhapati, you will see the Bhāva on which the mind is focused.
- Śubhapati also rules the dominant taste, which can improve appetite, digestion, energy levels, and mental strength. Consuming this taste before a meal can be very beneficial. The tastes associated with the Grahas are:
- Sūrya — pungent
- Candra — salty
- Maṅgala — bitter
- Budha — mixed
- Guru — sweet
- Śukra — sour
- Śani — astringent
- Rāhu — similar to Śani
- Ketu — similar to Maṅgala
- If Śubhapati is well placed, you will love the people represented by that Graha, and they will bring happiness and good fortune.
- If Śubhapati is badly placed, you may dislike the people represented by that Graha, and they may bring unhappiness and difficulties.
